University of Maryland students in riot received nearly $4M from county

WASHINGTON – Ten University of Maryland Students received nearly $4 million from Prince George’s County and the police department after they were injured in a riot off campus in March 2010, according to Prince George’s County spokesman Scott Peterson.

The county paid the students before lawsuits were filed. John McKenna III, who was , received $2 million. The other nine students split $1.6 million.
