Construction work on some to Glencarlyn Park will likely kick off later this year.
The County Board will consider a roughly $685,000 contract for renovation work at the park during its meeting Saturday (July 14).聽Crown Construction Services, Inc. is set to manage the renovations.
The work will include replacing one of the park鈥檚 picnic shelters, which is 鈥渂eyond reasonable repair,鈥� according to a , and updating the park鈥檚 open picnic and parking areas. The county expects the renovations to wrap up early next year.
The Board will also consider awarding a construction contract to install synthetic turf at Gunston Park鈥檚 at the meeting Saturday.
