FRIDAY EVENING:
Partly cloudy. Pop-up showers, thunder
Temperatures: 80s to 70s
Winds: Northeast 3-8 mph
Skies will clear a bit this evening, and temperatures will gradually fall into the 80s. While a very low chance, it is possible for another brief shower before skies partially clear and temperatures settle to the 70s.

OVERNIGHT:
Scattered clouds. Stray showers
Lows: 70s
Winds: South 3-8 mph
Lingering shower chances ease overnight with just passing clouds across the DMV, After midnight, temperatures will hover in the 70s keeping things feeling warm and sticky. By sunrise, temps will still be in the low 70s, setting the stage for another hot and humid day ahead.

SATURDAY:
Partly cloudy. PM storms
Highs: near 90
Winds: South 5-10 mph
Get ready for another hot and humid day across the D.C. area. Temperatures climb into the upper 80s to lower 90s, with that familiar thick summer air making a strong comeback. Heat index values will likely be around 100 degrees at times. Skies stay fairly sunny overall, but don’t rule out a stray shower late in the morning. By afternoon, the risk of thunderstorms and downpours ticks up again.

SATURDAY NIGHT:
Stray showers. Storms end
Temperatures: 70s
Winds: South 5-10 mph
Saturday evening is warm and humid with temperatures in the upper 70s to lower 80s. Skies will likely be partly cloudy — still allowing the fireworks to shine over Old Town Alexandria, but there may be a small chance of lingering showers if you arrive early to catch the show along the waterfront.

SUNDAY:
Partly sunny. Isolated PM t-showers
Highs: 85-90
Winds: South 5-10 mph
Sunday will start warm and muggy morning across the D.C. area, with temperatures rising steadily from the upper 70s into the middle to upper 80s by lunchtime. By afternoon, temperatures will climb into the upper 80s to lower 90s under continued sunshine. The risk for scattered thunderstorms and downpours increases after 3 p.m. Some storms may become strong to severe with gusty winds and heavy downpours. Localized flooding is also possible. Into the evening, most storms will ease later in the evening.

MONDAY:
Scattered showers. Storms
Highs: 83-88
Winds: South 5-10 mph
As we enter the middle of July, Monday highs enter the 80s with plenty of clouds mixing with breaks of sun. It won’t be a total washout, but scattered thunderstorms are likely to develop during the afternoon and linger until sunset. Some storms could bring heavy rain, gusty winds, and localized flooding where excessive amounts of rain has fallen.
