BALTIMORE, Md.聽鈥斅 A pair of bulls were on the run in Baltimore after escaping from a slaughterhouse Friday morning.

The animals ran away from a slaughterhouse on the 2700 block of Pennsylvania Avenue,聽police officials say.

The bulls ran to a nearby apartment complex, grazing on a patch of grass next to residences.聽Cars in the parking lot were used to block the only open entrance into the complex.

鈥淭hey were able to get some fencing over here to fence them in and we had them contained,鈥 Baltimore Police spokesman T.J. Smith told WTOP. 鈥淗owever, the bulls knocked over the fencing a couple of times, so we had to move people back.鈥

It took several hours to contain the bulls, but they were eventually coerced into a trailer and taken back to the slaughterhouse. Luckily no one was hurt and there wasn’t any property damage.

It has been an odd week for police in Baltimore. Early Monday morning, a drove into the back of a stopped patrol car near Patterson Park.

鈥淭oday’s the ‘Running of the Bulls: Baltimore edition.’ Earlier this week, it was ‘Chasing Pok茅mon: the Driving Edition’,鈥 quipped Smith.
