WASHINGTON — A聽teenager was shot near an elementary school聽in the District on Friday afternoon.
Metropolitan聽Police say it happened just down the street from Stanton Elementary School in Southeast before 4 p.m.
The boy was conscious and breathing when police arrived and he was taken to the hospital. His injuries are non-life threatening.
the shooting victim may be as young as 14 years old.
They聽are looking for a shooter described as聽a black man with short聽hair聽who stands聽about 5’10” to 聽5’11”. He was last seen wearing a navy blue jacket with a white stripe on the sleeves.
