WASHINGTON 鈥� A baby was found abandoned on a busy D.C. street, and the child’s aunt was arrested a block away Tuesday.
The infant was found in a stroller on E Street Northwest, near the D.C. Court of Appeals Tuesday afternoon as temperatures soared near 90 degrees.
Police say the baby’s aunt was charged with second-degree cruelty.
The baby is fine and in the custody of D.C.聽Child and Family Services, reports.
The baby’s parents have been located.
This is the second time in a week that an infant has been found abandon in the region. The other baby was found along a road in Pasadena, Maryland Saturday.
