WASHINGTON —聽The Metropolitan Police Department is asking for the public’s help in locating a suspect for a homicide that occurred in July.
The suspect is identified as 26-year-old Derrick Carter, who is wanted in connection to聽the second degree murder of 31-year-old Melvin Williams that happened on the聽 2300 block of Ainger Place, Southeast around 5:16 p.m. on July 28, 2015.
Carter聽is described as being 5-foot 8-inches tall, weighing 125 pounds, with brown eyes and black hair.
Police are offering a reward of聽$25,000 to anyone聽with information聽leading to an arrest聽or conviction.聽Anyone with information聽is asked to call police at (202) 727-9099.
