WASHINGTON — A patient at a D.C. hospital died Thursday evening after an altercation with two聽of the hospital’s security officers earlier in the week.
The聽patient聽was critically injured during an altercation that occurred around 5 p.m. Tuesday, near the main entrance of MedStar Washington Hospital Center.
“Our highest priority is the care and safety of every patient who comes to us for care, and we are deeply concerned for the family,” the hospital said in a statement to WTOP.
The two officers involved have been placed on administrative leave, the hospital said.
The聽Metropolitan Police Department is investigating the incident.
