WASHINGTON 鈥 It was one of Adams Morgan’s best dive bars; now, Millie and Al’s is no more. But there’s still a way for its customers to hold on to the good times.

Millie and Al’s first opened its doors in 1963, but more than a half-century later, the聽bar is closed.聽The quirky bar, known for its $1 Jell-O shot bar light, is asking its beloved customers to bid on everything from neon beer signs to the most iconic d茅cor in the joint 鈥 including the sign that bears its name.

As of Monday evening, the bid for the patron favorite, a model of Star Trek’s Starship Enterprise, is at $110, while the asking price for the famous dancing skeleton is closing in on $90.

Some couples may want a piece of Millie and Al’s 鈥 evidently,聽the bar started dozens of lasting relationships.

Bidding closes on Wednesday, April 13.聽Bidding closes on the first item at 1:07 p.m., then continues聽at a rate of five items per minute thereafter in catalog order until bidding on all items have closed, according to the Rasmus Auctions website.

The 2,719-square-foot business聽was listed for sale in December for $1.8 million, and was under contract in a little over a month, reports .
