WASHINGTON 鈥� A woman who had been shot was found inside a burning car in Southeast D.C. on Thursday night.
D.C. police said in a statement on Friday that they were called to Adrian Street, just south of G Street, at about 7:30 p.m. Thursday for a report of a shooting. When police arrived, they found a vehicle on fire.
Once the fire was put out, the officers found a woman, unconscious and suffering from gunshot wounds, inside the car. When D.C. Fire and Emergency Medical Services got there, they found 鈥渘o signs consistent with life,鈥� the police said.
They haven鈥檛 identified the woman yet. Police are asking for information from the public; anything that results in an arrest and conviction could be worth a reward of up to $25,000. Anyone with information can call the police at 202-727-9099 or text a tip anonymously to 50411.
