DC teen dies after Tenleytown shooting

A teenager who suffered a gunshot wound in a D.C. alley earlier this week has died, police confirmed Saturday.

D.C. police identified the individual as 18-year-old Brady Flowers, Jr., of Southwest D.C. He was pronounced dead at a hospital.

Officials said Flowers suffered fatal injuries in a shooting that happened around 4:30 p.m. Thursday on the 4500 block of Wisconsin Avenue NW in the Tenleytown neighborhood.

Police said they had found the teenager in an alley behind an establishment after being alerted to a shooting in the area.

D.C. police said that anyone with information about the shooting should take no action but should call police at (202) 727-9099 or text your tip to the Department’s TEXT TIP LINE at 50411.

The Metropolitan Police Department is currently offering a reward of up to $25,000 to anyone who provides information leading to an arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible.
