Stopgap funding bill passed by House and Senate, heads to President for signing

WASHINGTON — The House and Senate have passed a two-week continuing resolution to avoid a partial government shutdown and pushing back the latest spending deadline to Dec. 21.

The bill now heads to the President’s desk for signing, though lawmakers and the President are at odds over the funding for a possible border wall.
