WASHINGTON 鈥� A house fire broke out Saturday morning on the 2100 block of Norbeck Road in Silver Spring, Maryland.

An occupant was able to get out of the house on their own, Montgomery County Fire said.聽Although there were聽initial reports that others聽could be trapped inside the house, Montgomery County Fire later said these reports were unfounded.

The person who escaped the聽house had no injuries, Montgomery County Fire said.

Firefighters聽were able to extinguish the bulk of the fire.

Norbeck Road between Laughlin Lane聽and Barn Ridge聽Drive were closed due to fire department activity related to the incident.
