WASHINGTON 鈥斅燗C/DC will rock the Verizon Center Saturday, Sept. 17 as part of the band’s 10 final shows during its “Rock or Bust World Tour.”
The show originally had been set for聽March 17 but was postponed after doctors for frontman Brian Johnson told him to stop touring because he was at risk of聽total hearing loss if he聽continued to perform live.
Guns N Roses frontman Axl Rose has taken Johnson’s place as the band’s lead singer.
The rest of the band remains the same:聽Angus Young (lead guitar);聽Cliff Williams (bass guitar);聽Stevie Young (rhythm guitar);聽and聽Chris Slade聽(drums)聽.
鈥淭his band has got a ton of energy and you鈥檙e going to see a fusion of all that terrific chemistry that we have felt ever since rehearsals in Lisbon,” said Young, in a news release.
“I want to get back out there onstage in the U.S. with these guys so our audience can see and feel it too.鈥�
All tickets for the postponed show will be valid for the new date. Those who can’t make that date can get a refund.
Rose recently made his long-awaited reunion with Guns N Roses聽during the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival back in April:
