WASHINGTON – An accident Thursday morning left some people in Alexandria without power for several hours.
A car hit and broke a pole near North Henry and First streets in Old Town, leaving about 700 customers without power.
A Dominion Power spokesperson told WTOP crews were on the scene but were running into problems because of traffic.
Power was restored to all customers by 12 p.m.
