WASHINGTON — Downed wires caused delays for MARC Train service Tuesday morning, and service was restored Wednesday afternoon.
MARC Train service at Perryville and Aberdeen stations due to downed wires and utility poles along the railroad. The problem first occurred on Tuesday morning.
The damaged pole sat between the MARC Aberdeen and Perryville stations.

Also, Amtrak has resumed service between D.C. and Philadelphia, but trains may experience residual delays.
According to Amtrack, a Norfolk Southern freight train hit a pole, bringing down wires early Tuesday morning. The repairs forced Amtrak and MARC to suspend service for some commuters.
Amtrak suspended service on the Acela Express and Northeast Regional between D.C.’s Union Station and Philadelphia. Also, there was limited service on Acela Express between D.C., and Wilmington, Delaware.
