Angel City goalkeeper Anderson saves penalty in scoreless draw with Gotham FC

Angel City goalkeeper Angelina Anderson saved penalty kick from Guro Reiten to preserve a scoreless draw at home against Gotham FC on Sunday.

In other action in the National Women鈥檚 Soccer League, the Orlando Pride beat the Washington Spirit 1-0, the Chicago Stars edged Racing Louisville 3-2, and Bay FC topped the Houston Dash 1-0.

Initially ruled a clean block in the 82nd minute, video review reversed the call and a handball was called on Angel City defender Sarah Gorden. On the ensuing penalty kick attempt, Anderson denied Reiten, keeping the game scoreless.

Anderson made four saves for her sixth shutout for Angel City (7-7-5).

Ann-Katrin Berger had three saves for her 10th clean sheet of the season for Gotham (13-3-5), which is unbeaten in nine games.

Gotham midfielder Rose Lavelle landed hard with the back of her head hitting the ground in the 31st minute. Both teams had trainers evaluating the U.S. women鈥檚 national team star, who left the game six minutes later.

McCutcheon鈥檚 early goal holds up for Pride

Haley McCutcheon scored her third goal of the season and the Orlando Pride snapped a three-match losing streak.

Following a breakaway, Barbra Banda found Haley McCutcheon at the top of the box for the first-time finish and 1-0 lead in the third minute.

Orlando goalkeeper Cosette Morch茅 made her NWSL debut, and had three saves to earn her first clean sheet and the team鈥檚 seventh of the season.

Washington (11-6-4) has dropped three consecutive home games for the first time since moving to Audi Field.

The Pride (8-11-2) have won four straight games at Audi Field.

Grosso scores late game-winner

Jameese Joseph, Mallory Swanson, and Julia Grosso scored for the Stars (5-15-1), who snapped an eight-game winless streak.

Swanson received the long-ball, dribbled toward the middle of the box before laying it off to Joseph for the opening goal in the 34th minute. The goal broke a scoring drought of 314 minutes for Chicago.

Louisville midfielder Taylor Flint scored on a header in the 49th on a cross from Lauren Milliet.

The Stars took the lead again in the 62nd with Swanson鈥檚 pinpoint far-post strike to make it 2-1. Minutes later, Swanson the left the match early due to an unspecified injury.

After subbing on for Racing, Makenna Morris made an immediate impact. Her first touch in just 28 seconds led to a rebounded goal, evening it at 2 in the 68th minute.

Grosso was left wide-open and her low-driven shot far-post gave the Stars the 3-2 lead in the 83rd minute.

Chicago interim head coach Karina B谩ez picked up her first NWSL win.

Racing Louisville (7-12-2) had its four match winning streak halted.

Girelli scores her first goal in Bay win

Forward Cristiana Girelli scored her first NWSL goal for Bay (6-10-4), which ended a five-match winless streak.

After Keira Barry鈥檚 free kick attempt hit off the post, Girelli broke the deadlock in the 89th minute, finishing the rebound for the winner. It was the latest goal for Bay this season.

Bay goalkeeper Jordan Silkowitz made 10 saves for her sixth clean sheet of the season.

The loss halted a two-game winning streak for the Dash (7-9-5).
